ENGLISH PERIOD

I make colourful, joyful paintings, because when a person is worn out and returns home or to the office, the spectrum of colours is just waiting to cheer up the spirit, soul and mind.
— Ramesh Darji

Having achieved great success in India and the Netherlands, with paintings being purchased by private collectors and corporate clients alike, Darji moved to England in 1998 with his wife and two daughters.

Again taking inspiration from his surroundings, the English period of paintings take on a new freedom in forms, with soft edges, areas of rich colour and rough textures, which add a sense of life and movement.
